A brand new state regulation on registration of marriages has sparked a debate amongst parliamentarians and residents in western India’s Rajasthan.
Based on the brand new regulation, “if the bride is underneath 18 and the bridegroom is underneath 21”, their mother and father should register the wedding with state authorities inside 30 days.
