Ukrainian officers have mentioned Russian forces have launched an all-out assault on the Azovstal steelworks, the final Ukrainian holdout within the besieged port metropolis of Mariupol.
Ukrainian forces contained in the plant have been preventing “tough bloody battles” for a second day, the commander of the Azov regiment mentioned.
Russian forces are reported to have entered “the territory of the plant” after days of sustained assaults.
About 200 civilians are believed to be sheltering inside, together with kids.
The BBC has not been in a position to confirm the reviews of the Russian assault on the metal plant.
