400 homes, 600 hotel rooms to replace Eilat naval base

The Israel Land Authority has permitted the plan for vacating a lot of the naval base south of Eilat and can market 400 houses and 600 lodge rooms on the land. Vacating the bottom will start in 18 months and happen in 4 levels making the land on the southern entrance to the Purple Sea resort obtainable for tourism and leisure.

The bottom extends over each side of Highway 90. The upper floor on the western part of the bottom protecting 20.75 acres will likely be used for housing. On the japanese aspect of the freeway the naval base will likely be diminished from 18 acres to 13 acres with 5 acres alongside the Purple Beach vacated for resorts.

Eilat already has 11,000 lodge rooms with few new resorts constructed in recent times regardless of the excessive demand and which would cut back costs for rooms.
