Lecturers have accused main coronavirus vaccine producers of violating the human rights of these residing in lower-income counties, the overwhelming majority of which have obtained comparatively few doses. Citing Article 27 of the Common Declaration of Human Rights, which asserts that “everybody . . . has the correct to share in scientific development and its advantages”, teachers writing within the British Medical Journal on Monday mentioned “pandemic profiteering is, in our view, a human rights violation that calls for investigation and scrutiny”.
