(Bloomberg) — Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell predicted U.S. college students who’ve been compelled to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic will develop into an “extraordinary era” that can mature quicker and have an even bigger influence on society.

“That is a rare time, and I imagine that it’s going to end in a rare era,” Powell stated in ready remarks for a city corridor Tuesday with educators and college students. “You will note the world in another way than your predecessors. You’ve been compelled, before most individuals, to contemplate what in life is really essential.”
