Mother and father of a Ghaziabad-based class fifth scholar approached the police on August 10 stating that relations had been getting threatening messages regarding the minor. The police discovered after investigation that the minor himself had despatched these messages in an effort to not attend on-line college.

“The mother and father of the minor filed a grievance with the involved police station about menace messages to their family and different acquaintances. The Cyber Cell visited the home and obtained digital proof. It was discovered that the minor had been utilizing telephones obtainable in the home and sending these messages for a pretext to not attend on-line courses. The boy is not going to be dealing with any authorized motion,” mentioned Abhay Kumar Mishra, CO Indirapuram.

As per the police, the household hails from Almora and the boy had been staying along with his mother and father in Ghaziabad. For the reason that lockdown final yr, the kid’s college had shifted courses to on-line medium. The minor was allegedly exhausted of the courses and wished to go to Almora, mentioned officers. The boys’ mother and father work in multinational corporations.

Over the previous few weeks, the mother and father had been instructed by their family that they’d been receiving odd messages. The texts acknowledged that there was a ‘hacker’ and the boy must ‘depart courses’ or he would face dire penalties.

Ultimately, the mother and father approached police for a proper investigation and the boy’s entry to cellphones was restricted throughout which interval the messages stopped.

A counselling session was held by police officers this week after the case was cracked through which the boy talked about that he was bored with being in entrance of the display and wished to go to Almora for a break. No costs might be pressed towards the minor, mentioned police.
